Eco Bethel

Faith in Action for a Sustainable Future

At Bethel, we believe that caring for God’s creation is an essential part of our faith. Eco Bethel integrates eco-theology into our church community, promoting sustainable practices and engaging in ecological advocacy at the local, state, and national levels. Through partnerships with organizations like the Urban Farming Institute and Greater Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility, we’ve led initiatives like composting, solar panel installation, and policy petitions for sustainable practices. Annual events like Earth Day Sunday and Creation Care Sunday inspire our congregation to take action, and we’ve stood in solidarity with movements for environmental justice, including the Standing Rock pipeline protests.

Join the Movement

We’re working toward a plastic-free campus, planting more trees, supporting a better bottle bill to reduce single-use plastics, and raising awareness about reducing carbon footprints. No special skills are required—just a heart for creation and a willingness to make a difference. Join Eco Bethel and be part of the movement toward a healthier, more sustainable future.
