2026 Corporate Fast

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Bethel family is invited to come together in prayer and fasting during our Lenten Corporate Fast, observed from March 1 through April 5, 2026. While the season of Lent begins on February 18, we are setting aside this focused period in March as a shared time of intentional spiritual practice as we journey toward Resurrection Sunday.

Lent is a sacred season of reflection, repentance, intercession, and renewed dependence on God. Participation in the fast is voluntary, and each person is encouraged to choose the type and duration of their fast prayerfully and according to their capacity. Whether fasting from food, media, or other distractions, our collective desire is to seek God with humility and expectation.

Throughout Lent, we will be guided by our Prayer Ministry and supported by a rich rhythm of communal practices, including morning prayer gatherings, Sunday sermons centered on fasting and spiritual discipline, weekly devotional resources, Soul Care sessions, and special prayer vigils. These offerings are designed to help ground our practice, focus our intercession, and draw strength from our shared life together at Bethel AME Church.

We believe that as we obey God’s call to seek Him together, as declared in 2 Chronicles 7:14, God will move in ways that deepen our faith and transform our community. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Begin to pray. Begin to plan. Let us prepare to enter this Lenten season with God-sized expectation and faith.
