For 39 years, Pastors Ray Hammond and Gloria White-Hammond have served Bethel AME Church and the Greater Boston community with a ministry rooted in faith, justice, service, and love.

Under their leadership, Bethel has become a place where worship and social responsibility meet; where generations are nurtured in faith; where leaders are developed; and where the church continually seeks to answer God’s call in the community and the world.

Their legacy cannot be measured by one program, one building, or one moment. It lives in the countless people whose faith has been strengthened, whose gifts have been cultivated, and whose lives have been changed through the ministry of Bethel.
